Jeremy Hart

He is a silent leader on defense. He is dedicated, has a positive attitude, and is hard working. Jeremy Hart, Senior linebacker on the football team, says he wants nothing more than to “get over 100 tackles.”

Croatan beat South Lenoir Blue Devils last Friday 26-7. Coach David Perry claims, “[Jeremy] led the defense to its best game of the year. We held South Lenoir to 124 total yards. They only had 13 yards rushing on 22 carries.” Jeremy says, “We played hard and the first play of the game they scored on us, but we stayed strong and pulled through.”

Jeremy was out of football for two years with a wrist injury. Now, he has returned playing both ways because of it.

Jeremy has been playing football since the beginning of high school. He says he likes football because, ”It’s a contact sport and it’s physical.” Quarterback Garrett Bridges says, “He’s the man. He is a great defensive player and I can count on him.”

Jeremy plans to go to college after high school to study Criminal Justice. He wants to become a police officer. He plans to keep playing football after high school, but not at a competitive level.
