On November 9, 2011, in New York City, Victoria’s Secret held their annual fashion show.  With thirty-eight models, sixty-nine costumes, six themes, and a twelve million dollar budget the show is one of the biggest events of the year.

Victoria's Secret Model, Miranda Kerr and the $2.5 million bra she wore in the 2011 Victoria Secret Fashion Show.

The show contained 6 themes: Ballet, Super Angels, Passion Play, Angels Aquatic, I Put a Spell on You, and Club Pink.

The Passion Play theme was inspired by “an opulent jewel box,” according to Erin Donnelly from Fashion etc.  Passion Play will feature twenty-three-karat gold plated antique copper wings, with 105,000 Swarovski crystals, weighing twenty-two pounds.  I Put a Spell on You will have a “bewitching mood” says Erin Donnelly from Fashion etc. and it is inspired by New Orleans voodoo culture, while Club Pink will be young at heart and fun.

Angels Aquatic will feature the most expensive bra the world has ever seen, priced at two-point-five million dollars. Lucky Angel, Miranda Kerr, wore the bra for the show, just ten months after giving birth to her first son, Flynn.

Niki Minaj, Kanye West, Jay-J, and Maroon 5 all performed for the show.  Niki Minaj did her song, “Super Bass” while wearing a specially designed outfit with a graffiti inspired skirt.  Kanye West preformed his song, “Stronger”, then Jay-Z joined him in singing their song, “N—as in Paris”.  When Maroon 5 performed, lead singer Adam Levine walked down the runway hand in hand with his supermodel girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna, while singing “Moves Like Jagger.”

The show will air on Nov. 29 on CBS at 10 PM eastern time.  Watch the models strut their stuff down the runway in some of the most expensive lingerie in the world.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Reported by Rachel Brazda
